If you have a better one please share it, this is the only thing I am aware of.
That is the problem Long.
It is the only Anti cheat that is available for MOHAA atm.
I used MOHAAC before which was way more advanced than this one.
IMO, you do not need an Anti cheat to detect cheaters, a cheater could easily be spotted.

I meant I kinda like the sound of the mohaa chat.

Regarding other anticheats, the Chilean community programmed their own one which I think was pretty solid one (I don't know for a fact since I never tried it but I do know the people who wrote it). It was a pretty invasive software but since it was built in-house, people knew they weren't being spied or anything. I think that would be the only way to go at this point if we REALLY cared about cheaters: a custom made anticheat built by us where we can really see what's going behind the scenes in the client computer.

Personally, I don't give a fuck. For what it's worth, I don't think we have any real cheaters among us (e.g. WH, aimbot, etc.) and wouldn't really care if we did.

PS: Pug tonight.

Nor do I. However, if it makes OUR community feel better if certain players are running alphamac or whatever anticheat we have at the time than I'm all for it.

Sorry it took me awhile to just bite the bullet and re d/l the file but now that I've done it I can help anyone else who's interested.

That's the thing, it really shouldn't make anyone feel any better because it proves nothing. Just like when you scan your pc for virus's, when it doesn't detect any it does not mean your pc has no virus's, just means it couldn't detect any. Don't think we have cheaters really either. But don't see how a negative detection = clean in their minds.

The thing that Alphamac does that I like is that it does a checksum on all the files in your mohaa folder and if it's not stock or approved on the server you're playing on, it says so.

It also does the screenshots and the demos, but honestly I don't go and look at them so it means nothing to me.

I think with a little work this could be good. What they need to IMO is to fix it so that it runs through the MOHAA interface, and then make an installer that installs MOHAA with Alphamac. Screenshots and demos shouldn't be automatically recorded but it should be possible to do so, from the server side. (I.e. an admin on the game server). Get rid of the stupid chat messages, and maybe some way to show who on the server is in compliance, e.g. color of the user name in the list?

Good idea, just not sure what Ryback, the only guy who runs it, can do. He said he can fix bugs and crashes but that's about it, not sure he could that far into without lucking into some programmers donating their time or getting enough donations to hire one which the donations part is really unlikely to get enough to pay for it.

We could try talking to him and see how far some of these suggestions are from being implementable on his end? I don't think it's realistic to think Alphamac is going to get a full overhaul. Maybe we contact him and see if there are improvements within arms reach and go from there?
