Windows defender is going off on it and a friend told me he thinks ryback is p4 which is the guy that hacked peoples PC's with a previous anticheat before. I'm not going to exclude it to update just yet, already ran it for awhile, and did just the same with it on as with off, plus I miss my crosshair and scopes. Don't think its a good anticheat anyways. Just ask people to record demo's manually or screenshot them with CI or something idk not that anyone watched the ones off alphamac to often. But yeah, made me to uneasy before it even came up as a virus. Could be a false positive but not worth the risk to me. I'll still think about it but, I'm deff going to wait it out a bit. Not sure why it even updated, maybe to fix the some people not getting screenshots issue but could just be the time he decided to launch the virus.

I dont think so, I believe he is just closing up the gaps etc

obviously if the checks cant be done .... peeps will exploit

So i just jumped in and all looks fine to me

if anyone is after some additional security, I use an app called MyKi - also have web browser support

If I try to log into a site etc from another PC, It comes through to my phone to approve or deny

googled myki all I get is victorian transport sites. But yeah, as of now I cant even download the file, not even sure its windows denfender blocking it, chrome linked me to how to disable policys and shit to be able to download it.

So it had a problem with the aplhamac.dll ... what does a .dll file even do?

I am guessing they will pick up any executable file that doesn't come with an authenticate certificate?

I have spoken to this guy a few times now, he doesn't comer across as the type... we are such a small community .. wouldnt make sense to me .. whilst trying to keep a game clean, simply too much work

Anyways, I am comfortable with it, glad to hear the latest update doesn't pose a risk

What did you do to be able to download it?

I downloaded the app initially to store my passwords, then i discovered it has windows support and over the last year a lot of other features
all instructions are within the app

Not saying the latest update does create a risk but who told you it doesn't?
Just making sure you didn't misunderstand my virustotal link, virustotal couldn't find .9 to scan because the alphamac site does some wierd redirect thing with the .9 update and it cant find it when i link the download page to virus total, the only alphamac version it finds is .8. That is suspicious all in itself.

also not saying I even want that app, just saying you didnt even post where to find it. I'm guessing its either google play store or ios store, not that I have a working phone or need a password saver, just curious what other features you were talking about. Didn't exaclty make sense how it would protect your pc if its just an app on your phone.

more about protecting your passwords, if you try to log-in from another pc ... you have to approve itr from your phone

unsure about the whole virus claim, you obviously know a shitload more than me!
all im saying is i would find it very hard to believe...

we have a guy create his own anticheat, same thing happened ... only i knew/met the guy a number of times and played alongside him ..

If someone was to put in this much effort to keep an old game clean, with such a small community .. i guess hes got me beat
If you were that way inclined .. would you target a bigger group of people and put more effort into your bottom line?

if you have concerns, have a chat to him... i have found him very reasonable
