This term I was really thinking I might vote republican, Im not too into Hilary. So I got interested in seeing who the red candidates were and listening to all of them some i already knew about. As it played out ...I could not believe what I was seeing and hearing....but leave it to the republicans to once again put a DUMB ASS up for election just to make it close enough for them to lose again . UNREAL? They had this election won...Hilary and Bernie? Are you kidding? They fucking had it won and they couldn't get their spoiled little rich bitch to gag or clean up his mouth ...just a little .. i mean just a little bit for crying out loud. As an American i'm pissed, Im in the same boat with a lot of other pissed off folks who thought we would have better choices, many who are republicans. So many of us are confused, That this is actually who the party is moving forward with cause now I have to generate my interest in Hilary because once again these republicans farted out a rich loser with a foul mouth and hookers and is not a politician. I agree with you to a point Trip but to say Hillary is a comparably better choice than even trumps loud mouth goes to show just how sad the democrat party has become. The American people have been getting played since after WW2 so it's nothing new. What surprises me is the black community supporting a party that has done nothing but stifle true equality. Most opinions I hear (from people I know and the mainstream media, both in the US and abroad) attribute Trump's success to the republican and independent electorate's ignorance. I think that is not the case. I believe that it is not ignorance but a profound misinformation what actually moves Trump's supporters. I do not mean by this that some of the reflections the theories that abound in Trumps' rhetoric are not valid; I am just saying that they are colored beyond common sense by extreme nationalism, fear and paranoia (the legacy of the cold war, I suppose), a twisted understanding of global politics and economics, and a weak moral constitution. I know that mainstream media are biased on their own ways, but certainly not as biased as the sources Trump's supporters seem to get their facts from.

PS: Trump will lose, that's a fact.

At the time social security was introduced we were in trouble as a country economically. we needed a stimulus to boost the economy. Yes. Under the 1935 law, what we now think of as Social Security only paid retirement benefits to the primary worker. A 1939 change in the law added survivors benefits and benefits for the retiree's spouse and children. In 1956 disability benefits were added.
Keep in mind, however, that the Social Security Act itself was much broader than just the program which today we commonly describe as "Social Security." The original 1935 law contained the first national unemployment compensation program, aid to the states for various health and welfare programs, and the Aid to Dependent Children program. Now i ask you why do you only share the negative beliefs and not the broad spectrum of the tax program in its entirety. Do I agree that the system sucks and is flawed... yeah, but at this time I would be damned if IM GONNA GIVE MY RETIREMENT TO SOME PRIVATE COMPANY to trade on the open markets...Really! lol When the govt defaulted just recently guess what ...Social security checks were still paid and honored. Had it been a private company your money would still be tied up in court. Private companies are good for investments when risks are accepted.
