The FedEx guy will probably lose his job for what he did, but he should be applauded. People want to burn the flag to show their lack of support for the government, yet they fail to realize the symbolism and history behind it.

The flag stands for liberty. The 50 stars represents the 50 states and 13 stripes represent 13 colonies. Color Blue symbolizes justice, freedom. Color Red symbolizes hardness and valor. Color White symbolizes purity.

No where in that description does it say that this flag represents our government. It represents our country, the people and the hard fought battles for freedom against oppression and tyranny. People that burn the flag in protest of our government and the fascism with which it operates these days are hypocritical in what they are trying to accomplish. No matter how much the look of our flag has changed since 1777, it has always meant the same thing and many have died for our right to fly that flag or burn it if you will. Maybe I've gone off the rails a bit, but I've made my tongue bleed often while I watch this ridiculous behavior go on. I'm sickened when I see photos of people using the flag to wipe their asses, especially when they claim it is their protest against racism. If you want to wipe your ass with a flag then perhaps the confederate flag would be a more appropriate choice in this instance? It seems they've chosen the one that was flown when the battle for freedom from slavery was won instead. The hypocrisy is mind blowing. If you want to protest the government then wave that flag in support that our second amendment rights be upheld as they were intended rather than the scholarly interpretations being used to take our guns away.

Additionally, changing the way our country is headed may seem hopeless, perhaps it is, but creating a situation in which the military or police need to intervene, our government is being handed the means and reason to further the autocratic system which will ultimately result in even more of our freedoms and rights to be taken away in order to control the people. We should fly the flag proudly as Americans not burn it and say our country should go to hell. You go to hell and take your lighter fluid with you. No matter the situation in this country, I am still proud to be an American.

No bitch slap required, give them what they want... send them to Siberian Gulag, I've often thought about the history of the Continental Congress and the lack of support given to Washington during his struggling campaign for liberty from the tyranny of the English crown and think to myself when I see this crap or hear about it how much communists have influenced this country during the 60's to 80's quietly and wonder if I am the only one left that can see this is what is happening.

The youth of this country shows heavy signs of this influence and our government also reflects this...

I am not ashamed to be American, however I am ashamed of my countrymen (women included), hopefully something good does come from Trump being elected in the next 4 to 8 years, maybe a President that will continue to direct our country back to post WW2 pride and self sufficient economy.

Trump may be crude, but he is right, Make America great again.

I get emailed crap from liberal groups everyday and they always thank Obama for what he has done (not much good that I have seen) and with communistic ideals woven into the message they are trying to do.

Read this section banana and you'll see there are alot of deep thinking patriots here. I agree with your synopsis of our current culture but there is a silent undercurrent and shift going on I believe. The youth of our nation aren't all being wooed by the socialist/communist agenda. For example this year's march for life saw a massive turnout of people under 25 compared to previous years. The young people of this country who believe in the constitution are deeply disturbed and tired of the BS that's flooding their society. Things are going to continue to divide us though until a common enemy presents itself. Let's just hope it's a foreign one.
