Now that's refreshing!
"Liberalism is a mental disorder."

I hate to be the one to point this out to you, Zerk, but these days, "conservative" mean supporting open borders and globalist government.
It used to be about conservatives versus liberals. These days I can't tell the difference.

Perhaps youre still associating "Republicans" with conservatism.
The Republican party has long ago abandoned the conservative American, just like the Democrats abandoned their constituents back in the sixties when Kennedy was killed. Today, he would be considered a right wing radical.
Rather than aligning with a political party, I align myself and pledge my allegiance to the constitution and the bill of rights not a political party. You should try doing the same, you might find that conservatism is still much like it was and will always be much the same.... its certainly not what it was, but much the same... and by no means, do the conservatives I know, favor open borders. I'm truly sorry you feel that way HOD.

I guess I don't know what the word means anymore. Those who use that word publicly, their words are foreign to me.
I've gave up on the Republican party some time ago. Its hard to envision myself voting for a Republican not named Trump ever again. Fucking backstabbers like Ryan, McConnell, Boehner, Romney, etc. will never change their ways. I want a new party, but that doesn't look like its happening any time soon.

Hopefully our president will give rise to a new generation of patriots who value country over selfish ambitions.
