I'm not seeing or hearing too much on mainstream media about what's going on in the Philippines. It's a little disturbing. What are your thoughts?

In a separate incident a loan gunman killed 37 people at a casino in Manilla. That guy got away and with 2 Million dollars to boot. Now they have more money to fund their attacks.

I haven't seen or heard to much MsD other than what you have here. Maybe given the fact that the approach Philippine president Duterte has been taking lately, is a more unfriendly approach to US foreign policy(who doesn't if it has no benefit for them), as well coupled with the fact that he also has been cozying up to the Chinese and Russians lately, that other political entities may have taken offence to this and Voila, Islamic State are unleashed maybe as a warning . Purely coincidence of course but interesting lol. I follow global affairs a bit here and there, and have been watching the the entire South China Sea events as best as I can. Another noteworthy item maybe, right now in Syria there is a town called Al Tanf that is being controlled by US forces and rebels as well as other coalition forces. Us jets targeted Syrian troops deliberately last week as a warning to stay away from the town. Now Syria may have Russian advisers embedded in amongst the Syrian units headed to that town. It could spark a small conflict with Russia, more than any other time in recent years. There certainly is a lot of interesting moves being made globally in recent months.
Edit: the Philippine pres was quick to respond that the Manila Casino attack was the work of a lone gunman. Other countries however were quicker to label the attack as that of Islamic State before anything was really known.

I would be more concerned if Minnesota, specially the Saint Cloud area, wasnt turning into little Mogodishu. Just look at Europe. Let the travel ban begin, Cmon Supreme Court. Gotta love those peaceful and tolerant muslims.
