My thoughts are:
cheapest flights are to main cities (connecting flights might be very cheap??)
cheapest accommodation, prefer to pay my way at someones place (food etc also, can cook!) .. can drink more and get the local knowledge etc
good ping, hire a pc!

apart from that, where ever there are the most people who play i can catch up with for a beer and some gaming!
