New Anti Cheat for MOHAA alphamac

about 15 years late but, MOHAA has a new anti cheat. Go to http://mohaamac.com and help make mohaa great again. I can tell you first hand from playing on WoV server the game play has been a lot more fun. I am killing more and dying less. From what I understand you can run your own alphamac server on your mohaa server and upload all your maps, skins...whatever you want to allow. You can block all cvars like no fog, 3rd person, overbrights, brightbits, shading....and other weird advantages "Pros" use.

I am not accusing anyone of cheating. That being said I challenge Enk, Chico, Long, Hulk, Jelly, Tro, Mummy, Bled, Silly, dckx, and anyone else who is good at this game to run alphamac before you go on your next kill crazy rampage to prove to everyone you are clean. I can tell you first hand, you do some awesome shit and put some sweet kills together at just the right time and your running alphamac, it feels great. No one can say shit. And that's my weak ass, I can only imagine how some of you would feel after a good run on alphamac. plus you would have some SS's and Demo's to go with your lucky streak.

Yes 3rd is blocked on WoV servers. I don't think they had a way to block it before or guys had a bypass or something. Because reading the fourms they blocked a whole lot of shit I did not know existed. lol seriously I cant believe there is so much I did not know about this game.

I have had plenty of peeps accuse me over the years, I have even played on some of their PC's at a LAN ... I have had a small crowd behind me when I was ripping it up on FFA, owning in OBJ going on rampage after rampage

I will happily raise it in the admin forums, test it if given the OK
I will also happily play on any server with this or any client, any ping even if it sux!

This is great, I hope people use it. I certainly would.

However, I don't really have plans to play mohaa again at least until May 2019. That said, if this anticheat is still around by then, and I happen to continue to live in the US, I'll happily install it and use it on the MisFits or any other server.

That was one of the first scrims I played with MisFits (I'm not sure I even was part of the clan by then), and since I've never liked being accused of cheating —and more importantly, I didn't want to cause any trouble for MisFits— I started recording with a camera as soon as they started accusing me. On the video description you can find a detailed annotation of the video key moments (every time I kill someone, every time I die, every time a round starts, etc.).

Evidently, I never did that again as I quickly realized people have no idea how to differentiate a cheater from a seasoned player.

Re: the anticheat thing, I don't see how a website service is going to be able to do anything that all the anticheat programs can't do. The reason there is not and never has been a reliable anti-cheat program is because it can't be done. It's weaknesses in the program (for example, stufftext is not 100% reliable) that prevent fair and effective anticheats.

The best hope for real anti-cheat is that some brainiacs take a look into the now public-domain MOHAA program and fix the bugs/weaknesses. Until that day, I still maintain that specing people when they're playing is the truly best way to catch cheaters.

I know some people don't agree with my viewpoint on this, but I believe that none of our regulars cheat. The people whose name we know who weren't banned by now are playing clean, IMO (at a 95% confidence level ). We've been watching these people while we're dead (some of us have more experience in that department) for years now. If its not cut and dry after that long then its not worth worrying about it. And if someone, somehow, toggled on teusday nights in 2014 and got away with it, then it really hasn't ruined my enjoyment of the game. Its disappointing, but what are you gonna do?
