Bummer, dude.

Getting things like that going isn't easy. Takes patience and coordination and a lot of time.

I've been meaning to get a ladder going but I haven't had the time to commit. Maybe someday. But yeah its a bitch.

Yeah, but as I said, I'm still very much willing to help this work. I won't be able to participate myself, which was my original motivation, but I'm still interested in this initiative seeing the light. I think the best way to proceed is just have two teams (draft or recruiting, that's up for the participants to decide), and perhaps start with one game per week. Then evaluate: is it fun? Would it be possible to do it twice a week? Is there enough interest to put together a third team?

But first things first: just put two teams together. I know bled has put a lot of work into this and it seems there is no one else willing to do the same, so perhaps bled will have to double the efforts and recruit for the other team as well... Or maybe bled will have to give in and just have a draft. I think there are enough players to have two 6-player teams. Again, that's up to the players to decide, I'm just pointing out there is a disagreement here, and things will not come to fruition if they don't resolve that first.

I'm with you on the timing DC> I can't Pug most nights because of how late it is. Because... adult stuff like work comes into play lol.

I think part of the problem is that it gets too complicated. Have to form teams to play, then people worry about if the teams are fair, etc. etc. And of course there's always the difficulty of getting people to show up at a scheduled time.

Maybe we should rethink my king of the hill idea. 4-man squads, can either form up in advance or on-the-fly. King team controls the server. Maps, weapons mod, whatever. Anyone can form a team and wait their turn to challenge them. Or if you want to form your own squad, then you can do that. We figure out a way to keep stats, and thats it. Keep it simple and informal.
