Biggest thing that is killing me right now is finding out that the VA will only pay $300 towards the funeral, leaving us with a massive undertaking to try and come up with the money. I am trying to sell off items, cousin has a fundraiser, and I have one too, just trying to come up with the amount needed. It pisses me off that our veterans do not get the dignity they deserve at the end of their life.

Yea V.A. and Social Security are useless, only a few hundred bucks. I ended up having Rachel cremated for about a thousand because it would have cost five or six thousand to bury her. Luckily I was able to bury remains her in her stepfather's grave (which is what she wanted) for free.
