Survived the over night storms with just major flooding. Still have the rest of today to get through. Here is a short video of me hiding from the rain while trying to pump gas this morning, rather than wait until I got to a cheaper area.

Yeah here in Illinois it is really bad. I feel bad for these farmers just literally ponds on top of their fields now. Woke up with 6 inches of water in the basement, pump wasn't working that was great..

Yeah, farmers are having it hard this year. Just found out the town I moved away from is shut down again due to flooding, glad I moved away. Sucks about the basement, did you get the pump working?

Yes I did get the pump working. I walked around today and took pictures of the neighborhood on instagram. I am just not used to it because I have lived in Pennsylvania all my life. Illinois is a alot different.

I have lived in the storm zone all of my life, if not the tornado zone, then the hurricane zone, so I am used to them. I have seen buildings destroyed by tornadoes, and the building beside it untouched.

yeah, it was crazy. I was working and the tornado hit the building I was in, and missed the stores on either side of us. Completely destroyed the place I was in. Thankfully, no one was seriously hurt there.

We got hit again!!! These farmers fields of beans and corn are in horrible shape. There is so much water on top of the fields that when the wind blows they just look like lakes. Some roads are impassable!!
