The MisFits SAD (Sniper After Dark) Tournament is officially on. The teams have been chosen and will be posted on the website by the end of the day along with the rules. Although you do not need to formally sign up, we do ask that you acknowledge the team you are on and that you will be participating. This will be a 3 day elimination tournament starting on Friday October 27th at 9PM CST through Sunday October 29th for final seeding. The finale will be played on October 31st and will consist of the top 8 players- 4v4. Once the website is updated with all of the information, I will post the link here.

This tournament is open to MisFits and Guests and there will be cash prizes awarded at the end.

i have a question as to how you knew who was playing or picked the teams
I'm sure i can just wait till the end of the day and find out tho
also i think I'm gone that weekend so fml rip sigh oh well

We picked the teams by who participates the most in pugs and split them up as evenly as possible. It is pretty much a list of everyone who plays. When someone doesn't show up, then they will be removed from the team. Each team should have a fair balance of players that aren't expected to participate but were added simply to save time on signups since it takes us forever to get things done.

Is it going to be just straight match rules like we always play (I hope)? Or were you going to do something based on server stats?

If you want stats maintained for this thing, then we can give it a shot. Anyone out there ever set up the server stats mod? I don't have a clue how to set all that shit up.

TC wants is to be a bit complicated so there will be points involved, but not so much stats unless someone can figure out how to stat bomb planting and unsetting.

What kind of a bomb stat do you want to see? Something like

HOD: Plant - 2, Defuse - 4
Mummy: Plant 0 - Defuse 1
TC: Plant 3 - Defuse 0

? The tally of plant/defuse is easy enough to script so you see a HUD on the screen during each map for player totals. The integration into a stats page could be tricky since your website and server don't necessarily live in the same place/don't have easy root access through gameservers.

Or even simpler, if you just want to know how many times one side planted/defused that could be scripted to a HUD (rather than player by player).

Let me know what makes the most sense.. I might be able to whip something up for you guys
