EPA chief says climate change deniers not 'normal'

The head of the Environmental Protection Agency appeared to hurl barbs at Congress on Tuesday, referring to an unnamed group of climate change "deniers" who aren't "normal" and who won't "carry the day" in a democracy.

EPA Administrator Gina McCarthy made the comments while addressing a climate change summit at the White House Tuesday to frame the effects of global warming on public health.

McCarthy said a report her agency released Monday makes the case for taking action against climate change by calculating the price Americans will pay for not taking action, including the thousands of lives lost due to global warming and the impact felt on the economy.

She said the EPA put out the report "not to push back against climate deniers," but to help "normal people" make a decision about the kind of world they and their children want to live in.

You do know, probably not, that global warming has a cooling effect. It almost like how you make ice cream with salt and ice, the co2 is the salt and ice is the polar ice caps, they melt cooling the oceans which cools the air as well around it. It's getting to warm for the current weather balance we have now, it is not getting to warm for us to live we aren't going to cook, it is just getting to warm for the balance and will cause major disruptions of the weather. When certain regions are under water, or can't grow their crops anymore because of weather changes, that is what they mean by saying global warming is bad, not because it is the end of the world, though it could be, there could be a point of no return at least for an age, infact the increase in co2 could also increase the ozone which does the same thing. And just because some scientists predictions were wrong doesn't really mean anything, they shouldn't have tried to because that is large a scale for us to calculate. Scientists are wrong on when stuff happen(s/ened), but they have a better track record on saying why stuff is happens. They can't and don't know all the things that will happen and in what order they will happen, but they know that higher CO in the atmosphere does change the world, as per geology. CO2 acts like aluminum foil wrapped around a potato, it keeps the heat in, the heat bounces off the CO back into the earth, more CO, the less that heat escapes, and the holes in the foil(ice caps that reflect heat back out) are closing up. Believe what you want but what ever really happens, you can't say that we have no effect on the earth, we are making major changes to its chemical makeup, it is going to do something. From cars, to factorys, and to factory farming, we are adding a lot of extra chemicals to the world that wouldn't normally be there.

Us "deniers" are not saying we do not need to clean up our act, many die just from exhaust fumes in big cities that already have respiratory issues, and I have seen clean cheep energy with my own eyes that they will not let us have.

My biggest beef is giving a global tax to some wana be "New World Order" will do nothing to save the planet, in fact they will buy more jets and big houses well us. the less greedy suffer.

If not do what I plan to do and get some property out in the middle of nowhere with access to a national forest and learn skills that will keep you alive.

The graph means nothing since I can't tell whether it is from a credible source for one and second, the ice caps weren't this melted in the 40's so it seems it would still be different and maybe just another aspect if the graph has any merit at all.
